Home grown talent Martin Middleton took the trophy for the leading 1st XI run scorer in the Cherwell League with 722 runs. The Oxford Times has reported on the various team and individual winners on their website
Middsy had a stand out season with 722 runs at 51 including a stunning 118 not out against Oxford & Bletchingdon. Midds hit 6 scores of 50 or more and that one hundred. He only twice failed to reach double figures.
Midds was at the awards evening in Thame to collect the cup supported by team mates including recently retired Steve Bird, who's average and run tally was distinctly lower than Middsy's.
We look forward to another stack of runs in 2010.....
