The Ridge Bears headed to the top of the table after beating second placed Twyford by 6 wickets. Winning the toss the Bears again elected to field but the Twyford openers got off to a flier taking 50 from the first 9 overs. However they never got used to the slow pitch and having had Shallow caught at deep mid-off, the Ridge started to put pressure on the batters and restrict the scoring rate. Brzezicki began bowling tight from the top end and Harsh Tataria was varying flight and getting decent turn in a wonderfully accurate 19 over spell off 6-35. This bowling pair reduced the run rate considerably until Twyford were eventually all out in the 47th over for 144.
Although slow the wicket was true and 144 always looked too low a total to defend. The Ridge lost Middleton for 12 with the score on 31 but Steve Bird anchored the innings with an excellent 71 not out. Russ Turner chipped in with 23 and Keeping with 12 to get the score to within 10 of victory but unfortunately the Ridge lost a couple of late wickets to gift Twyford some extra points. The Ridge go to Bledlow next weekend looking to maintain their place at the top of Division 3.
